'Real Steel' is a film with a futuristic background that tells us about an ex-boxer named Charlie who loved to gambling. He often gamble all of his money to bet his whiz robot in a 'Robot Fighting Match', or more popular with 'Robot Boxing'.

He has a child named Max. Max is a eleven years old boy who loved playing game, especially Japanese games. But, Charlie thinks that he doesn't need Max and let him be adopted by his sister's family, and the adopting process is illegal. Charlie get a bribe money from that process. The amount is 45.000 dollars. With that money, he buy a new legendary robot called 'The Noisy Boy'. Although 'Noisy Boy' has a very high price, it destroyed in its first battle with Charlie as the controller. In the fight with Midas, Charlie with his 'Noisy Boy' lose, because Charlie has not understand all of Noisy Boy's move and feel dizzy in the middle of the match. Then, it is happen, Noisy Boy's head is thrown to the air.
Intend to get a new robot from the wrecked robot's warehouse, Charlie and Max unwillingly found a G2 robot. Atom, the G2 robot is built to be a practice robot. And one of his special abilities is copying the controller's movement that it sees. A special function that is very rarely to be found at the recently built robot, and it make an advantages to Atom.
Because the mainly function is a practice robot, Atom has a very strong body, very high durability, so he can take a lot of damage without any system failure.Although atom is not a fighter robot, those advantages make Max insists to get him in a Robot Fighting Match.
Otherwise, there are a lot of powerful robot with advanced system to fight are lose and destroyed in the Robot Fighting Match. So, will Atom survive? Even only one round? This is REAL STEEL.
