Google Privacy Violation | Polymerize

This time, the huge search engine service provideris having trouble with user's privacy....

Google accused of having penetrated the privacy settings on Apple's default browser, Safari, to know the habits of users in accessing the internet.


They are considered to exploit the gaps on the setting in the browser by adding a code on their advertising that is placed on a webpage so that Safari cannnot block it. There are 22 webpages that contains ads infiltrated the site code of 100 popular websites in cyberspace, and 23 ad codes installed on Apple's smart phone, iPhone. It has been confirmed by the technical supervisor of Wall Street Journal.

The process is, Safari will let an inactive cookies after 12 to 24 hours, but can be used to trace the Safari users. Cookies will still be tracked. One of Stanford University student wrote in his blog that the cookie has been set in order to avoid personal security features in Safari.

Allegations of breach of privacy is not only directed at Google, but also to three other online advertising companies that also mentioned using that code. The companies that have been mentioned are Vibrant Media, WPP's Media Innovation Group and Gannett's PointRoll.

Federal Trade Commission United States (U.S.) was contacted by the monitoring group of consumers on Friday to investigate the truth.
