Q and A - Pre-Lesson Quiz | Polymerize

Mr. Marwo, Qosyim and Adhnan’s teacher is standing in front of class. Before he begins the study, he gives his students a pre-lesson quiz. Because this quiz has not been told by Mr. Marwo before, the students feel surprised. Qosyim even cry loudly from the corner of the classroom.

Mr. Marwo

: “Ok class, listen carefully!”

The students, including Qosyim, Adhnan, and Nane too, do as Mr. Marwo says.

Mr. Marwo

: “If Philadelphia is 100 miles from New York, and Chicago is 500 miles from Philadelphia, and Los Angles is 1000 miles from Chicago, then…”

Feels confident and think that she know the answer, Nane raises her hand before Mr. Marwo complete his question. And so, Mr. Marwo successfully surprised…

Mr. Marwo

: “Yes, Nane. It looks like you have known the answer before I finished my question. Alright then, the question is…”

Nane	: “1600 miles, Sir.”

Mr. Marwo

: “Sorry Nane, that is not the answer. Then you didn’t know the real question, are you?”

Class surprised and Qosyim cry loudly again…

Mr. Marwo

: “Ok, I’ll repeat my question once more. Listen carefully and don’t interrupt!”

Nane’s motionless.

Mr. Marwo

: “If Philadelphia is 100 miles from New York, and Chicago is 500 miles from Philadelphia, and Los Angles is 1000 miles from Chicago, then how old am I?”

Class confused and Mr. Marwo laugh happily. But a few minutes later, Adhnan raises his hand.

Mr. Marwo

: “Yes, Adhnan.”

Adhnan

: “44, Sir.”

Mr. Marwo

: (surprised) “That’s correct. But tell me, how you arrived at that answer?”

Adhnan

: (calmly) “That is easy, Qosyim has a 22 years old brother. And he is half mad.”

Class laugh, and Mr. Marwo a bit confused.
